Give me justice, O God, and plead my cause against a nation that is faithless. From the deceitful and cunning rescue me, for you, O God, are my strength. (Psalm 43:1-2, Entrance Antiphon for Fifth Sunday of Lent)

St. Vincent de Paul Society

The St. Vincent de Paul Society is privileged to offer assistance on a person-to-person basis for individuals who are not members of the parish.  They listen to their needs and assist in many different ways. Vincentians share a compassionate concern for those in need, a willingness to share some of their time with them, and to seek the presence of Christ in them with open hearts.

The Vincentian group is active primarily in two ways:

They meet with those who come to our parish with immediate needs that can be addressed with simple actions like getting a gas card, arranging for lodging , transportation, or a meal.

For more involved needs such as housing or utility problems more extensive interviews are typical and these are generally handled with visits by pairs of Vincentians to the home.

In all of these ministries the key is a faith based, person-to-person opportunity to serve Christ in the person of the needy.
