Prayer Shawl Ministry
We distribute the beautiful prayer shawls that parishioners knit or crochet to members of our community who have suffered a loss or are sick. The person making the shawl prays for the person who will receive it. The receiver knows that when they wrap the shawl around their shoulders they are being wrapped in the prayers of St. Michael’s Church.
The need exceeds the number of shawls we have so we would welcome any new knitters/crocheters. If you are not able to make a shawl but would like to participate in this ministry, we appreciate gift cards so we may purchase Homespun Yarn when it is on sale. For more information, contact Deacon Bert Bliss, Pastoral Minister.
