By way of introduction, my name is Pat Houlton and I had the privilege to be the group leader for St Mary’s and St Michael’s Extreme Faith Camp. I personally have never been to a week-long camp before and was very impressed by the organization and preparedness of the camp. The accommodations were great and air-conditioned except for one girl’s cabin. Everyone thought the food was great and plentiful.
Besides the numerous activities for each camper, the main purpose was for your child to have either a new or enhanced relationship with our lord Jesus Christ. To that end, there was daily mass, prayer several times each day and Eucharistic adoration. On Tuesday night reconciliation was offered with five priests present including our own Fr. Izen, then a Eucharistic procession to a chapel where we had 24-hour adoration. The last full day concluded with mass and individual adoration which was very powerful.
