Eucharistic Adoration

Eucharistic Adoration is our acknowledgment that Jesus is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. Parishioners of St. Michael and other faithful members of the community have dedicated 24-hour Adoration to Our Lord. Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration, as it is known, is a commitment to never leave our Lord.  Commitment in the valley to Eucharistic Adoration arose from Pope John Paul II’s call for all laity to participate in Eucharistic evangelization “so that the whole people of God could develop a personal relationship with Jesus, Our Savior in the Blessed Sacrament.”     

Pope John Paul II explained, “It is by taking time out to be with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament that this relationship with Our Lord begins to increase, and grow and blossom. Perpetual Adoration builds community. The Eucharist is the sacrament of unity, Jesus unifying his people. Through the intimacy of quiet prayer with Jesus, one experiences the personal love of the Savior and grasps the reality that we are all one with the whole Body of Christ.”
